* Summary of realities in the Preface:

Original reality is called Absolute reality. This is eternal and is never changed or destroyed, but it can be modified in regard to values. God is the original Absolute. He eternally possesses preknowledge of all perfect reality, but He does not have preknowledge of sin (which is basically unreal or lacking in some degree of reality) or of finite, imperfect, evolving reality. He learns about it in close association with us by means of His indwelling Mystery Monitors. From that experience He is able to modify and perfect even absolute values. In that way our human experience is of immense value to God and to all levels of reality.

Below the Absolute level of reality are the finite and absonite levels. (Absonite or transcendent reality is eternal. It does not depend on time.) These two levels have a symbiotic relationship. In some respects the absonite is the fulfillment of the finite level, but in relation to time-bound consciousness it precedes the finite. However, since time is fundamentally an illusion, this apparent precedence of the finite is not real.

So we have three basic levels of reality. But within those three there are other modifications of reality that come about because of successive phases of creation, plus some modifications in different parts of the cosmos that occur for unknown reasons, probably in the furtherance of infinite variety. Infinity is always infinitely variable.

Furthermore, we can also classify realities as material, mindal, or spiritual, bearing in mind that there is in overlap between each of these classifications. In addition, there is personal reality as a separate classification (the highest), and 'morontia' or soul reality as a mixture of spiritual and physical.

At lower levels than the Absolute, reality changes during successive phases of cosmic evolution. Each of these phases is encapsulated in the personification of an evolving deity. The first phase, which is going on now, is perfected by the personification of the Supreme Being as fully deified; the second is personified by the Supreme-Ultimate Being; the third by the personification of the Absolute God, who combines within Himself both the original perfections of God and the modifications of value brought about as a result of evolutionary experience. Thereafter, having perfected all potentialities originally latent within Him, the Absolute God continues to expand cosmos forever.

Briefly, as Carlos Castenada said: “ Life is a path with heart that goes on forever.” Especially is there always more and more to discover about the Infinite God, the Self-Existent, the Nagual.

God is Self-Existent. He had no beginning and will never cease to exist. He first comes from beyond spirit. He chooses to reside within the domain of spirit. Spirit itself is a level of reality that is permanent. It has a very exalted type of mind. The Father's first absolute and eternal Act is to express Himself in the Son. He begets the Eternal Son as the absolute prototype personality, simultaneously constituting Himself as Father, and also eventuating from spirit an eternal and absolute material reality called Paradise. The Son is called the Word of God, in the sense that He is the full expression of the Father's own concept of Absolute Personality Perfection. As such He is also expressing the Father. Father and Son together then make an eternal absolute decision jointly to beget the Holy Spirit as the Mind of God and Conjoint Actor, Who is able to actualize their desire to create a finite cosmos, with the declared intention of creating mortal humans in their own likeness. This Holy Spirit instantly becomes the agency empowered to control and manipulate all types of energy and reality from the absolute to the finite, and immediately creates the central universe of Havona and starts creating the seven finite superuniverses. This is still going on. The central and finite universes combined are called the grand universe. In addition, God is now creating more new universes in four bands of outer space. After these are finished the whole of creation will be called the master universe. It is expected to go on expanding infinitely forever.

In the eternal and infinite past of pre-reality, God the sole Absolute Infinity I AM THAT I AM divided infinity into two parts, a deified conscious personal part called spirit controlled by His One Eternal Infinite Son, and an undeified impersonal part consisting of physical energy controlled by Himself through Paradise and the Unqualified Absolute and co-ordinated by the Universal Absolute. Since He had divided infinite spirit from infinite material energy, He had to co-ordinate them through Infinite Mind, so He also had to engender the Eternal and Infinite Holy Spirit, Who controls the domain of Infinite Mind, and co-ordinates spirit with material energy.

One can consider the Father as the original Thought of God, the Son as the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit as God in Action: so you have Thought, Word, and Act. This sequence is followed even in our own human nature.

All energy comes from the Universal Father. Matter itself is a form of energy that emerges from spirit energy in a geometrical pattern that is founded upon the geometrical spirit pattern of the union of the three Persons of the Holy Trinity. It has its origin in spirit, and still contains traces of its origin. But, by itself it would be chaotic, as it is unconscious. All matter is controlled by mind, and never functions separately from mind. And mind is ultimately controlled by spirit. Notice that the Holy Spirit is the Infinite Mind of God which is conscious of the working of every mind that exists, from top to bottom – even the minds in animals. But He or She is not called the Holy Mind, but the Holy Spirit, as spirit is the higher level. The Father is the Source and Substance of all energy. But the Holy Spirit is the Manipulator of all energy. She is the God of Action. She is God in Action. In our local universe, She is our divine Mother, Nebadonia. She is also working in and through our Mother Earth, Mother Urantia, who is a part of God the Supreme, and is called a Planetary Supreme.

From all eternity, by His own free will choice, the Father chose to share His absolute Godhead equally with the Son and the Holy Spirit in one Holy Trinity. Because of that absolute decision the full Godhead is exercised only in and through the Holy Trinity, which functions distinctly as a separate functional entity from the Three Persons who form it by their association.

Reality as we know it really begins with the action of the Holy Spirit. This point was taught by Lao-tse of China more than 2,600 years ago. But most probably he was secretly instructed by Machiventa Melchizedek.

All this answers the ultimate question: “Why is there something rather than nothing?”
